Greenhills varsity basketball evened its CHSL conference record at 1-1 with a 57-38 win at Madison Heights Bishop Foley.  With the win, Greenhills moves to 5-1 overall on the season.

Seniors Will Kennedy and Samir Hafez and junior Drew Sachs led the charge in the first quarter, each hitting a three-pointer to lead the Gryphons to a 20-15 first quarter advantage. 

In the second quarter, Greenhills locked it down defensively, holding the Ventures to just two points. Seniors Stevie Snabes and Miguel Ceballo-Countryman led the defensive effort for the Gryphons, limiting Bishop Foley to 1/13 shooting.

In the second half, Drew Sachs continued to lead the charge for the Gryphons. "Drew had a nice all around game, scoring from multiple levels in addition to his defense and rebounding" said Head Coach Andrew Wright. Sachs shot 9/12 from two point range, in addition to hitting 3 three-pointers, en route to a 29 point effort. It was Sachs' third 20-point game of the week.  Senior Stevie Snabes also contributed his third double-double of the year with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Sam Siepker led the Ventures (1-3, 0-1) with 18 points.
