Swimming and Basketball Close Out the Semester with a Trio of Home Events

Greenhills swimmers have been hard at work the past three weeks both in the pool and in morning weight room sessions. This week that hard work gets put into play with the first swim meets of the year. Greenhills will travel to Ypsilanti Lincoln this Thursday at 6pm for their first meet of the season. The dual meet with the Railsplitters is the first of two competitions for the swim team this week. On Saturday, they’ll head to Fenton High School where they will look to defend last year’s first place finish at the Fenton Relays.

On the hardwood, Thursday also brings the first Varsity Basketball doubleheader of the season. The girls kick off action at 5:30pm against Ann Arbor Central Academy. Immediately after, the boys host Whitmore Lake. These games will be a fun wrap up of the first semester before both teams take a well earned break in advance of the second semester. The Greenhills upper school student council has organized several events around this Thursday’s game including a Holiday Wear Theme night, giveaways, and halftime competitions. There will also be a Little Caesars food truck at Greenhills this Thursday. We hope to see a big crowd out at the Borders Center for Athletics this Thursday to support our teams and celebrate the end of the first semester.
