On March 15, the boys varsity swim team wrapped up the winter athletics season with an impressive 14th team-placing at the MHSAA State Championships at Oakland University.
Junior Chris Gregg earned All-State honors in the 200-individual medlay, finishing 7th overall with a time of 1:58.53.
Gregg, as well as sophomore Jeremiah Green, also earned All-State honors in the 400-Freestyle Relay. The duo, along with Tyler Dillman and Michael Elliott, finished 7th with a time of 3:14.25, setting a new school record.
The 400-Free Relay was not the only school record broken this year. Green adn Gregg also paired on the 200 Medley Relay breaking a 9-year school record in that event.
Christopher Gregg also smashed six other school records this season, re-writing the record board for boys swim. New marks now stand in: 200 Freestyle, 200 Individual Medly, 100 Butterfly, 100 Freestyle, 500 Freestyle, and the 100 Breastroke.
