Varsity Tennis Headlines a Dominant Week in Greenhills Athletics
This past weekend, the varsity tennis team traveled to west to participate in the Allegan Invitational. The field showcased some of the top tennis squads in the state, providing the Gryphons a chance to compete at a high level with teams that they may see down the round in the state tournament. Greenhills showed why they are in a prime position to defend, yet again, their Division 4 state title. The team won a perfect 24 of 24 matches, sweeping Traverse City St. Francis, Grant, North Muskegon, and Allegan. The dominant performance concluded a week that also saw a sweep of Father Gabriel Richard and a 6-2 victory over 2024’s state runner-up Notre Dame Prep.
Varsity tennis continues their march towards that post-season with a crucial home match up today, Thursday, against Marian High School. Play starts at 4:30pm.
